esCarpade 2026 - Day 6 - Dinner

Damian and Jordan were refreshed and ready to head down to dinner...

Walking to the Tenterfield Tavern with some other esCarpadians they met along the way!

How far is this place?  Only about 700m.

After dinner, some raffles and awards were done...

Sienna from Mad Hatters (the car that was on OKA earlier in the day).  They have secured a rental vehicle to get themselves through to Tweed Heads, then home on Sunday to collect a 4WD and car trailer to drive back up to Inverell to pick up their broken vehicle... which is safely stashed behind the Inverell Motoring Museum.

Damian and Jordan were awarded the Safest Driver and Navigator award (voted by other entrants).

Ben regaling the crowd with a long list of "honourable mentions" for the turkey awards... such as 101 who managed to block traffic after locking their keys in the car, or 1964 (not 64 Bluey) who realised at lunch that they had inadvertently performed a fuel drive-off, and raced back to the petrol station to apologise profusely and settle the bill...

But today's winner was the unfortunate Margi from Mario (car) who had a mishap with the automatic doors on the toilets at breakfast!  

After walking a couple of others back to their motel, the boys headed back to theirs for an early night... it's been a big week so far, with one day to go on esCarpade 2026!
