esCarpade 2026 had finally arrived! Damian figured it was now time to pack his bag... first up a rainbow of Camp Quality esCarpade shirts from 2016 to 2025...
It was a foggy old day, but Bluey was packed and ready to go! For the first time in 15 esCarpades, Damian was driving up on Day 0 (the first official day of the event). Usually the distance means he drives down a day or two beforehand (depending on how far away it is)!
The rain started, just as the boys were getting ready to leave - but first, the obligatory selfie!

As did the traffic...
Past the crazy cross-merge road...
And lined up at scrutineering!
The boys were pinged for an out-of-date first aid kit, so off to Bunnings they went, where Damian may or may not have climbed the shelves to retrieve the last one in stock! Later they would speak to other teams who also had to go and buy one, but had to drive 20 mins further away as they were out of stock at the close Bunnings...
While there, Damian saw some Bluey merch... didn't buy any though!
Back through scrutineering where they got the big thumbs up for the new first-aid kit!
Around the other side where vehicles who hadn't made it to pre-scrutineering were going up on the hoist...

Mad Hatters had a busted brake booster... luckily they were able to find a spare and the mechanics helped them to change it over.
After hanging around scrutineering for a while chatting, then fuelling up Bluey and the 2 x 10L jerry cans in the rooftop pod, it was time to check in to their accommodation.

The rain continues to fall, but that's the scrutineering part of Day 0 done and dusted. The boys will have a rest before heading off to the driver briefing and welcome dinner!
