This blog is all about my "Bluey" themed vehicle that I will be driving in my 15th Camp Quality esCarpade in 2026! Camp Quality's charity bash for cars 20+ yo brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer!
esCarpade 2026 - Day 3 - Roma to Nindigully Pub to Lightning Ridge
Early morning in Roma, Bluey copped a drenching last night, and there was still plenty of moisture around in the morning!
Sun was attempting to shine while the boys headed to breakfast!
Big Rig... and Big Sun!
Jordan breath testing Kylie from FAV1 with his water... and he PASSED?
45 must have annoyed Santa... found their car wrapped!
FAV2 - nominated for a turkey award for parking right up against a trailer, preventing the prime mover from being hooked up! (Damian nominated them...)
Driver briefing...
Jordan took the morning section, with Damian navigating...
Route notes...
There was about 10km of red mud!
The fancy tripmeter (even though the display doesn't like being photographed)!
A surprising amount of roadworks in the middle of nowhere!
Stopping at the fun stop!
Oh, that's what's making noise when we turn right! One busted mud flap!
Following the bitumen the last section through to Nindigully Pub, the boys came across this large piece of farming machinery!
And the FUN car!
OV3 riding a wombat, because why wouldn't he be?
Lunch at the Nindigully Pub - home to the famous pig races!
Rachel doing the lunchtime driver briefing.
And they're off to Lightning Ridge!
The first 95km or so was bitumen...
Damian drove the afternoon, thus confirming his choice of afternoon/morning is as successful as every other esCarpade!
Eventually there was dirt!
Arrived safe and sound in Lightning Ridge... Bluey was chilling on the couch!
The boys have made it to the halfway mark of esCarpade... big party tonight, followed by a rest day tomorrow - good for a sleep in and to knock some of the mud off the underside of Bluey!
