This blog is all about my "Bluey" themed vehicle that I will be driving in my 15th Camp Quality esCarpade in 2026! Camp Quality's charity bash for cars 20+ yo brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer!
esCarpade 2025 - Day 2 - Dubbo to Quambone to Cobar
Early morning in Dubbo... it was time for the boys to find coffee, find fuel then find breakfast!
Breakfast was at the Royal Flying Doctor Service centre in Dubbo.
Bash car inside RFDS...
Bacon and egg rolls courtesy of the Rapid Response Team.
Shenanigans... car wrapped in Christmas paper... the Sleigh car...
First up, a school visit to the Buninyong Public School...
Time to hit the road, heading towards Quambone for lunch!
Oncoming very large farming machinery!
Fun Stop courtesy of the Southern Stars...
Quambone only has a fuel app pre-paid fuel stop, and only for people with Telstra coverage... Damian figured using the spare fuel from the jerry cans was a better option!
Lunch at the Quambone Sundowner!
OV3 dressed as a pair of traffic cones!
Delicious spread of cold meats and salad... it was even better than it looked!
Driver briefing time...
And Hoges driving the afternoon session!
Some very large oncoming trucks to keep an eye out for!
Rocky, deep water crossing...
Hoges driving through...
Test the brakes, then back on the road!
More oncoming trucks!
The afternoon included a section with over 80km without a turn!
Afternoon fun stop...
Flies were bad!
Coin toss to try to win some booze...
And back on the road heading to Cobar.
COBAR!!
Bluey is going well (touch wood please!), and the boys have made it to the end of day 2 without being on OKA... a step ahead of last year's effort!
That water crossing would have been a slighty nervous moment! Well done guys!
ReplyDeleteSure was, but Hoges did a great job!
