After a relaxing afternoon, the boys were ready to make the long trek to the driver briefing...

This year, there are 50 entrant vehicles and 13 official vehicles... out of the 50 entrants, there are many newbies aka cherries!

After the driver briefing, most people drove, but Hoges, Damo and a couple of others walked the 2km up the road to the Longyard Hotel for the welcome dinner.

After some speeches from Deb the CEO of Camp Quality, Kim the chairman of the CQ board and a couple of CQ volunteers, more food than you could jump over and some delicious dessert, it was time to head back to the motel.

The boys hitched a lift back with the fellas in the Daisy car (used to be Princess Bride).

Driving starts tomorrow - time for sleep!
