UHF Aerial and Safety Flag

So... Minecorp Australia had donated a fancy light-up safety flag...  As a result, Damian decided the best option was to move the UHF aerial to the opposite side of the bullbar, and install the safety flat on the passenger side where the UHF aerial used to be.

Removing the UHF aerial, Damian discovered that the cable was a little bit worse for wear...

This bracket needs to move - it's not strong enough to mount the safety flag.

Damian knew he had a fancy new (but much smaller) UHF aerial lying around... after much searching and cursing, it was located!

Moved the mount and installed the aerial... what a little cutie!  The aerial is alright, too!

Removing the old coax involved pulling half the dash apart... of course it did!  Never mind, wiring up the new safety flag would need access to the back of the switches anyway.

Safety flag installed...

You can even see it from the back!

Cute aerial and impressive safety flag...

Itty bitty aerial committee!

What should have been a quick job took all afternoon (of course), so hopefully in the near future Damian can get the safety flag wired up to a switch and put the dash back together...

Stay tuned!  2026 Camp Quality esCarpade is only SIX WEEKS away!
