Wheels and Mud Flaps

Damian had planned on getting on the tractor today, but given it was blowing an absolute gale, and his son needed some help with his Sierra (in the background), he decided to work on Bluey instead.

Time to check off some scrutineering items - today's effort will be wheels and mud flaps.

First step, out with the old (genuine factory alloys - set of 5 if anyone is interested in them)...

And in with the new(ly painted steelies that were previously on Retro Rock-It).

A bit of a curley shuffle was done here, with one alloy wheel off Bluey and replaced by a steelie from Retro Rock-It, with a quick coat of paint in between...

And finally, something really does bolt straight in!!  Mud flaps that were made for Retro Rock-It just bolt straight on to Bluey... believe it or not, Damian actually washed these before installing them...

Front and rear mud flaps and all wheels swapped over!

Including one in the boot for a spare... the second spare will be stashed in the boot before heading down to esCarpade!

Quick drive around the yard and a rinse off - been so breezy and dusty lately!

Be good if there was some actual theming happening here, but honestly, esCarpade is still just over 3 months away, which will go by in about 20 minutes!  Damian really needs to ex-digitate!!

Of course, no blog post is complete without a fundraising update...  After some more incredible donations over the past week, the boys fundraising total stands at...

$18164

Thanks to everyone who have donated so far... the boys are so close to their $20K target!
